Move the mouse over the map to see details. Click Birthplace and click different countries to see the percentage for those nationalities. Click Residence and click one of the states to zoom in and see more detail.

C lvyqafd7 The same as before, but with a column chart instead of a map. Again, you can move the mouse across to see details. The scroll wheel will zoom the chart in & out.

P nrsyqk0l Pie chart showing the numbers speaking different languages. Click Residence to specify a different part of Australia.
P qcmloa6j Same again, excluding English speakers. You can click Year and click 2011 and 2016 to animate between the statistics from the different census years.

S l1w0se28 Stacked column chart showing the languages spoken by people in each age group.
S 6mqknfl8 Same again, but sideways - a stacked bar chart.

B wdupcthk Bar chart showing proportion of No Religion. Click Vis/Algo then "Column %" to turn it sideways (a column chart). Click "Map %" to make it a map. This also has a Year option, so you can animate it.
Note that after making changes, you can click the Undo button to return to what you had before.

M sxlm0byf Map showing the socio-economic index of Disadvantage with a colour scale.

L 8dvefilx List of indigenous languages with number of speakers.

L ivok7ew3 List of towns/suburbs in Tasmania showing the number and proportion of people aged 0-4 and 5-9.

O 2wafrzi6 Scatter plot showing the how the proportion of married and divorced people varies by region.

O rx75ecaz Scatter plot showing the proportion of South Africans compared to the index of disadvantage.

A qdoguj5c Public schools in South Australia (can't remember from what year), coloured by level, list grouped by region. You can change the group, colour & sort settings.

A o0b8ryth Churches in Adelaide, with ethnic minority churches coloured, list grouped by denomination.

I've described how to make small changes from any of the above states. You can change the topics, the iteration variable and level. You can choose any of the Vis/algo options, after which you may need to change a few other things to make it work. Some things can only be achieved by typing in the "Algo code" section, which is complex, undocumented and liable to change.

Different topics have the data to different levels and there aren't always clear messages when your settings call for data that's not available. Some topics have data filtered to South Australia and some of those don't break down further by geography.

Mappage has undergone much development in 2019, with much more planned. I'm not writing too much now because it'll change again. Saved links probably won't work after the next major update.

This is a page of documentation for Mappage, written in WordPress, but for use within Mappage.
